Almost a Mona
Should we frame it?
They say no and go,
It’s not made of gold,
Only laughter and an
attitude plastered on
a wall.
Oh Goodness!
Let’s frame this beauty,
there’s a woman in
red lips laughing with
a young man and his
tricks.
Strings play around
their speaker surround,
the two barefoot with
one with a bottle in
hand pouring bubbles,
Toast! To this love!
More festivities fall
under four full moons,
friends gather as laughter
never ends with a glass
sipped by a gentleman,
Cheers! To more!
Six years go by as
this painting still hangs,
“How could you lie?!”
She feels like she died,
as he committed a crime
from unspoken words.
